Everyone in the chat sees your words as they happen. In a one to one chat it starts once you’ve both said something, so strangers can’t watch you type.
Drafts don’t linger
Send it, clear it, leave the chat or lose signal, and your draft is gone for everyone else. Your own copy stays on your phone for up to a week, just in case.

Frequently asked questions
Can anyone else read my messages?
No one at Blip reads your chats. Normally the only time a person sees a message is when it’s reported. Messages are encrypted, but not end to end.
Can I turn live typing off?
No, live typing is the whole point. In a new one to one chat, it only starts once you’ve both sent a message.
Who handles reports?
Andrew, who made Blip, reviews every report. Reporting someone blocks them too. For anything urgent, email safety@tryblip.app.
Can I delete my account?
To delete your account, go to Profile, then Delete account. Once it’s deleted, it can’t be recovered.
